About Me
I am a 41 year-old ex-Marine professor and businessman. I've got a PH.D. in international business and teach marketing, entrepeneurship, cross-cultural management, and finance.
Outside the academic and military fields, I have been a consultant specializing in environmental issues and start-ups, and I founded a successful golf company before selling it a few years ago.
In one of my classes in 1996, I introduced the internet as a viable road to business (not knowing about it myself, I had to bring in a guest-lecturer). A few months later, two of my students came by to visit and told me they had heeded my advice and were doing quite well. Of course, I hadn't heeded my own advice yet, so I felt a little foolish.
So I immediately put a dating company from Russia on the net with good success. But I had also been a photographer, and I had a bunch of pictures, so I put up Russian Exposure as a lark. I made a few bucks and was happy. But thanks to Donald from Donsworld and his help, I realized that there was quite a bit of money to be made. I put up some more sites, but my other work load kept me from focussing on it.
In January of 1998, I sold most of my other interests, and except for a couple of months doing some work for the military, I tried to put most of my efforts into the internet, both adult and general. By the end of the 1998, I was making $20,000 per month. Six months later, it had grown to over $40,000 per month.
This amount may be a drop in the adult internet bucket, but I like it. I am a home businessman, working out of my spare bedroom. I don't have to shave or put on a tie if I don't want, and I work my own hours. I hope my pay goes up each month, but I feel amazed that I am doing as well as I am for just having fun on the computer.
So why am I putting out this website? Well, I have helped three families get on their feet and start making a decent living doing this, and that makes me feel good. At the IA2000 Convention in Las Vegas January 1999, I saw the need for it as person after person quizzed me on how to get going. And if not for the help of others, (Don, DangerDave, Greenguy, and others), I would have been struggling to figure things out on my own.
A few of the companies or services I recommend will give me a commission. I think it would be foolish to pass that up. But most will not. I am recommending the services I think are good regardless if they pay out a referral fee. (But if I make a few bucks with the site, well, I sure won't complain).
I was one of the seminar speakers at IA2000 in Las Vegas January 10-12, 2000 as well as New Orleans September 22-24.
I hope the site helps you. If you have any questions you would like to pose to me personally, please address them to webmaster@websynergy.net.
